YOUR PRIVACY CHOICES
If you live in one of many U.S. states (including California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, and others), You may be able to exercise certain rights, including the right to limit certain uses and disclosures of personal information about You. Information about these options is available below. Please review Our Privacy Notice for a detailed description of how L’Oréal collects, uses, and shares Personal Information for more information.
For residents of the State of Washington or Nevada, our Consumer Health Data Notice is available on the footer of certain of Our Sites and applies to personal information defined as ‘consumer health data’ (where collected).
This selection only applies to consumers. There is a separate privacy notice located on the L’Oréal Careers website for job applicants and a separate Business Customer Privacy Notice for individuals who engage with L’Oréal in a professional capacity.
A. Opt-Out of Targeted Advertising
We do not ‘sell’ (as ‘sell’ is traditionally defined) personal information about Our consumers (e.g., names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, other personal information) for money. However, like most companies We do share personal information We collect with third-party advertising and social media networks. They use it to show You ads for products You might like. Various state privacy laws (such as those in California, Texas, Colorado, Virginia, and others) legally treat this type of information sharing as (1) a ‘sale’, (2) a ‘share’ or ‘use’ of personal information for targeted advertising, or (3) both, even though no money changes hands. You may have the right to opt-out of this use. Specific information on these activities is available in the “About Our Advertising” section of the Privacy Notice.
To exercise the right of opt-out where available in Your area please use one or more of the following:
- Offline Settings: Regarding the sharing of offline (non-browsing) personal information, if You would like to opt-out of sharing personal information related to personal information in the beauty profile this brand maintains about You, please submit Your request using the form on this page. This will apply to offline data sharing and, if you have an account with this brand (where available), to any browsers and devices You use when You are logged into Your account with this brand after the request is processed.
- If You want this to opt-out of sharing personal information in the beauty profile another L’Oréal brand maintains about You, or if You want this opt-out to apply to all L’Oréal brands, please access Our general consumer request portal
- Online Settings: If You would like to opt-out of sharing information related to Your use of this Site please click on the “Online Preferences” button, below, and change the setting about online (browsing) personal information. After You opt-out a cookie will be placed and stored on Your browser.
Automatic Browsing Signals: Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser or extension setting. When enabled it tells websites You do not want personal information about You sold or used for targeted ads. We recognize GPC as valid requests to opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal information and targeted advertising in the U.S. states that require this (e.g., California, Texas, Colorado, etc.). Here is how it works:
- If you did not log in or a log in is not available: We will opt You out for only that specific browser.
- If you did log in (where available): We will also apply this choice to the offline beauty profile the Brand maintains about You.
Please Note: If You opt-out at the browser-level (vs. account level), please keep in mind the following:
- It only applies to that browser and this site. If you use a different browser or device, or visit a different L’Oreal brand’s site, you will need to opt-out separately there, too.
- Clearing Your cookies may undo Your opt-out. Your opt-out is stored as a cookie. If you clear or block cookies on that browser, You will need to opt-out again.
- If this site does not have a login (or You are not logged-in), we cannot link Your opt-out to You personally. We have no way to identify you when You visit the site.
Please note, some transfers of personal information are not subject to this opt-out, and Your selection does not affect other sharing of personal information about You as outlined in Our Privacy Notice.
B. **Limit the Use of Sensitive Personal Information (including “Consumer Health Data” for residents of Washington and Nevada)
Depending on your location, You may revoke a previously given consent to Our use of sensitive personal information You or You may ask Us to stop using sensitive personal information for uses beyond what is needed to:
