For years, Matrix has been one of our go-to brands for color care, styling techniques, quality hair products, and vivid hair color inspiration. Now, we’re introducing the evolution of Matrix—featuring a brand new look, education for artists, and product offerings that cater to all hair types and textures.

Want to learn more about the new Matrix? We spoke with Alfredo Lewis, Matrix Global Head of Education, for everything you need to know.

New Look

The Matrix logo has always been about creating a community. This new twist on the classic look reinforces the brand’s vision of growth and synergy. You should also be on the lookout for brand new packaging for your go-to Matrix products.

New Focus

Along with a new look, Matrix is introducing their new brand mission: A dedication to becoming the ultimate hair care brand for everyone—one where all hair types and all humans are welcome.

“We made this decision that we wanted to have more diversity and inclusion within Matrix because to be a community, and to be welcoming to all stylists, that means welcoming all hair types,” Lewis says. “And education, to me, is going to be key to bringing that to life.”

New Innovations

The brand will be expanding its famous SoColor professional color line with the SoColor Sync Pre-Bonded system, the first-ever pre-blended and pre-bonded permanent and demi-permanent color. This line features everything you know and love from the original SoColor products, now reformulated with an exclusive Bond Protecting Concentrate. This exclusive bonder protects your strands as you color so you can maintain the integrity of the hair structure. The brand will also launch nine new neutral SoColor shades, their most comprehensive color palette yet.
